My Top Baby Products 2015

Babies are not cheap! And that's a fact. Because, while they only live on milk for the first few months of their little lives, the list of stuff you need to buy in preparation for their arrival can be pretty extensive. First there's the basic stuff such as nappies, wipes (you will go through a shed load of these), the moses basket/ cot, baby bath, steriliser, bottles, baby changing bag, clothes, car seat, pushchair, etc. Then there is the non-essential stuff such as the bouncer/ the swing, the mobile, the monitor etc. if you are lucky enough, you will get some of these as gifts at your baby shower- if you have one. After a short time, you will quickly see which baby products are the most useful and which ones are a waste of time and money

Here are some of my top baby products for 2015 that I simply could not live without.

1. FamilyFix base

When my partner first told me he wanted to get the FamilyFix, I was a bit like, 'but why? It's just a waste of money and we don't need it,' but boy oh boy was I wrong. Costing £150, this clever little device is not cheap, but it's actually worth every penny. It eliminates all the flapping about and fiddling with seat belt when you put baby's seat into the car. Instead you just slot it into the base, wait for the beep and you're away

2. Tommee Tippee sterilising kit

We actually received a different steriliser as a gift from my work colleagues. They got us an AVENT one, but having already done our research and read tonnes of reviews, we were set on the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature one- so we exchanged the AVENT one and paid the difference. The Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Electric Sterilising kit comes in at around £60 online and is a top buy. It's very clean and neat looking, easy to use and unlike many other sterilisers, it fits other brand bottles in it too. At one point, we were on the go with Dr Browns,  Avent and Tommee Tippee bottles and they were all ok to fit in this unit.
Tip: Just remember to descale it regularly

3. iCandy Peach 3

If you have a bit of extra money to spend on a pushchair, I cant recommend the iCandy Peach 3 enough. Not only is it super stylish, it's also really strong and easy to fold away. The extra large shopping basket which holds up to 5kg is excellent for baba's changing bag and other bits too. It also has the ability to upgrade to a double pushchair.

4. Baby bath with built in support

This baby bath is brilliant. As it has built in support, after a couple of months, you will no longer need to hold your little one during bath times. I have found this bath excellent for encouraging my little boy to be more independent. He loves bath time

5. Foldable padded changing mats

Available in the Poundshop/ Poundland, these padded yet foldable changing mats are EVERYTHING! Initially I thought I wanted the more traditional, thicker changing mat but after receiving a couple of these ones, I realised they are perfect. Storing them away and slipping them into the changing bag is super easy, which makes them extremely handy.
